Who Can Be Enrolled?
Patients with infections requiring intravenous antibiotics and
Medically stable to be discharged to home
With good and reliable support
Secured intravenous access
Reliable line of communication
Steps
Set appointment with the OPAT.PH team and bring along documents stating infectious disease diagnosis, laboratory results and treatment plan including antibiotic of choice (if referred by another physician).
Begin consultation with the
OPAT Doctor.
Start teaching session with the
OPAT Nurse.
Secure intravenous (IV) access and pick up prepared antibiotic infusion pumps.
